The Fulbright Commission in Brussels is proud to announce its cohort of 2021-2022 Fulbrighters!
This group of Belgian, Luxembourgish, European (via the Fulbright Schuman Program) grantees has been nominated and selected to study, research, or lecture in the United States during the academic year of 2021-22. Vice versa, we will also welcome our American grantees to Belgium, Luxembourg, and different countries within the European Union in which they will carry out their programs.
Despite the ongoing challenges with the COVID-19 pandemic, we are hopeful that all grantees will be able to successfully begin their studies or research. The Fulbright Commission in Brussels will continue to support and guide grantees during their programs in cooperation with our colleagues at the Institute of International Education (IIE).
Among the recipients of a Fulbright Award to the United States are 14 Belgian students, 10 Belgian scholars; 5 Luxembourgish students; 12 European students, and 9 European scholars. Note that these numbers include 25 deferred grantees from 2020-21.
On the U.S. side, we have 12 American students and 7 scholars to Belgium; 8 American students and 1 scholar to Luxembourg; 6 American students and 9 scholars to Europe. Note that these numbers include 22 deferred grantees from 2020-21.
